Photographs by Ivana Pavelka
April 1, 2006 - June 7, 2006
Opening Reception April 1, 2006: 1PM - 4PM

The Islands in my photographs are spaces of estrangement from the daily routine of social interaction. They may be voluntary or against our will: escape or exile, they are something each person experiences alone. Islands represent the human condition: fear, fantasy, illness, thought, sensation, intuition, etc.
